Issue /etc/resolv.conf Ubuntu 12.04

Every time  when in Install Ubuntu i remove Network manage. Because it is not allow me to edit the file /etc/network/interfaces.

After removing Network Manager using $sudo dpkg remove network-manager network-manager-gnome,  i edit the file

/etc/network/interfaces as follows

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.9
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1

and  same time i also  edit /etc/resolve.conf for resolving name server as follows.

nameserver 192.168.1.1
search yourdomaiun.com

But This time when i edit /etc/resolv.conf  and reboot system it was overwritten every time. to resolve this issue i just edit the file

/etc/network/interfaces file as follows

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.9
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
dns-nameservers 192.168.1.1
dns-search  yourdomain.com

Now no need to edit file /etc/resolve.conf :). A program name resolvconf(8) read from /etc/network/interfaces file and  give a entry to /etc/resolve.conf at every time  system get start. 🙂
